Gertrude Marsters

Gertrude Marsters was killed on the 28 July 1942 at 157 Gillot Road, Edgbaston. Gertrude was 65 years of age when this happened.

Additional Notes:

Raid 60 - From ‘Brum Undaunted’ by Carl Chinn - 27th July 1942 Bombs were dropped on the Rover in Solihull and that evening Birmingham was raided by at least 60 planes. About 283 fires were across the city, and phosphorus bombs were dropped close to the Lancaster Street Headquarters of the Fire Brigade.
